Coolie' breaks 'Leo's' record

Even at the age of seventy, superstar Rajinikanth is shaking up the box office and breaking records. His latest film Coolie has crossed the Rs 300 crore gross mark worldwide. With a gross collection of around Rs 324 crore, it is not easy to achieve this milestone, especially in the midst of mixed reviews and strong competition from ‘War 2’.

Surprisingly, ‘Coolie’ set this record in just three days. It became the fastest Tamil film to achieve this feat. Earlier, this record was held by Vijay’s ‘Leo’. It crossed this mark in five days. In the process, director Lokesh Kanagaraj broke his own record again.

Sunday collections are expected to be stable. But the real challenge starts from Monday. The movie 'Coolie' stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, Aamir Khan, Soubin Shahir, Rachita Ram, and Shruti Haasan in key roles. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has music by Anirudh.
