Car racing first.. then the next movie!

Kollywood star hero Ajith Kumar's latest film "Good Bad Ugly" has become one of the highest grossing films of 2025. The film was a huge success at the box office and once again proved to Ajith fans that he is their favorite actor. However, Ajith is currently taking a break from his acting career and is focusing on his other passion, car racing. Due to this, he has not committed to any new film projects at the moment. Ajith had earlier made it clear that he will start working on his next film only by the end of this year, i.e. by December 2025, after the racing season is over.

In this context, it has been officially confirmed that Ajith's next film, the project known as "AK64" in the industry, will be directed by renowned director Adhik Ravichandran. This is the second film in the combination of Ajith and Adhik Ravichandran. The duo had previously worked together for the film “Good Bad Ugly” and the film was well received by the fans, so expectations are already skyrocketing for this new project.

Speaking about the film, Adhik Ravichandran recently said that the official announcement of the film “AK64” will be released soon. He said that the announcement will reveal other prominent actors, technical staff and other important details of the film. Moreover, Adhik also clarified that the film is not related to the gangster genre. This comment has opened up new speculations among the fans. Because it is common for Ajith to act in action or thriller genre films. And it remains to be seen whether Ajith will choose such a genre this time.
