Biggest shock in Aamir's career

Aamir Khan, known as Mr. Perfectionist in Bollywood, was a huge flop with his film 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. The film, which was released amidst high expectations, managed to collect only Rs. 70 crores at the box office, leaving a huge loss of around Rs. 200 crores.
''After collecting Rs. 385 crores with Dangal in India, I expected it to collect at least Rs. 100-200 crores. But I was shocked by the negative talk right from the first show,'' Aamir said in a recent interview. He expressed his grief that the budget had increased drastically due to shooting abroad during the Corona period, and that even though crores of rupees were spent on the table tennis sequence in China, the scene had to be removed in the editing.
With Naga Chaitanya's debut in Telugu too, the premiere shows and promotions were held in full swing, but the results were not good. Aamir, who had also put his faith in the overseas market, was also disappointed in countries like Japan and China.
Aamir, who usually takes precautions to avoid losses as a producer, admitted that this time he was overconfident and did not set limits on the budget. He also returned the Rs. 50 crore fee he took for this film to the co-producers in an attempt to reduce the loss. However, Aamir got some relief with the success of 'Sitare Zameen Par', which was released this year.
