Basavatharakam Cancer Hospital in Amaravati too

Tollywood senior actor and Telugu Desam Party MLA from Hindupur, Nandamuri Balakrishna, has earlier announced that he will set up a hospital in Andhra Pradesh's capital Amaravati on the lines of the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad. On the occasion of the silver jubilee celebrations of Basavatarakam Hospital in Hyderabad this Sunday, Balayya confirmed that the first phase of the 300-bed cancer hospital will be opened in Amaravati soon.
Balakrishna said that Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital was not established for profit or any other purpose, but his aim is to provide affordable medical services to those suffering from fatal diseases like cancer. He recalled that the idea of setting up this hospital came about after his mother died of cancer. He said that this hospital, which started small with 110 beds, has transformed into a big hospital with modern medical facilities and state-of-the-art equipment.
Balakrishna thanked the Telangana government for the support provided. He also thanked Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha. Also, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his gratitude for the cooperation. He announced that a hospital with 300 beds will be set up in Amaravati in the first phase and said that it will be expanded with all modern facilities and amenities in the coming years. He appreciated all those who donated for the establishment of a cancer hospital in Amaravati.
