95 percent of the shooting took place in Kenya!

Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Rajamouli’s “Globetrotter” (working title) team are currently in Kenya for a major shooting schedule. Priyanka Chopra recently shared a photo of herself on a flight to the African country, giving a hint about the location. Due to this shoot, Mahesh Babu could not celebrate his son’s birthday and Ganesh festival with his family this year.

While the team has been quiet on social media, an official confirmation has come from Musalia Mudavadi, the Kenyan Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. Sharing photos of his meeting with Rajamouli, producer Kayal. Narayana, Mudavadi said that about 95% of the film’s African scenes are being shot in Kenya.

“A team of 120 from Rajamouli’s team chose Kenya as the main shooting location after a scouting tour across East Africa,” Mudavadi wrote. “Globetrotter” is a big-budget global adventure film. Rajamouli has said that he will release a special video glimpse in November. There are speculations that the film will be released in the summer of 2027.
