2025 First half Report!

This year, six months have already passed in the calendar. The first half of Tollywood-2025 has been completed. And.. what kind of results did the films released in these six months give to Tollywood? Which films achieved success? Which films failed to meet expectations?

Among the films released in January, Sankranthi films should be mentioned in particular. If 'Game Changer' came on January 12 as a Sankranthi gift.. 'Daku Maharaj' on the 12th, and 'Sankranthiki Yaaynam' on the 14th were released. Of these, Venkatesh's 'Sankranthiki Yaaynam' achieved a huge success.. Balakrishna's 'Daku Maharaj' achieved good success. Ram Charan's 'Game Changer', which came with many expectations, remained a disaster.

This was a memorable year for Akkineni's new emperor Naga Chaitanya. The film 'Tandel' produced by Geetha Arts under the direction of Chandoo Mondeti was a huge success. This movie, which was released at the Pan India level, achieved a gross collection of more than Rs. 100 crores. Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi's screen presence, and Devi Sri Prasad's songs played a key role in the success of 'Tandel'.

The surprising hit of the first half of 2025 can be called 'Court'. Produced by Natural Star Nani, this court drama, starring Priyadarshi in the lead role, brought huge profits to the producers. Ram Jagadish gained good recognition as a director with this film. This year, Natural Star Nani achieved great success as a producer and hero. Nani's 'Hit-3', which came as a part of the 'Hit' franchise, earned a worldwide collection of more than Rs. 100 crores.

Sithara Entertainments' follow-up to 'Daaku Maharaj', 'Mad Square', also achieved great success. Directed by Kalyan Shankar, 'Mad Square' is a full-length entertainer starring Sangeet Shobhan, Narne Nithin, Ram Nithin and Vishnu Oy.

Geetha Arts also achieved success with 'Tandel' and 'Single' starring Sree Vishnu. Directed by Karthikraj, this film has collected over Rs. 40 crores. Samantha's 'Shubham' has emerged as a safe project. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's 'Arjun Son of Vyjayanthi', starring Lady Superstar Vijayashanti in another key role, also performed well at the box office.

After 'Court', Priyadarshi got another hit this year with 'Sarangapani Jathakam'. Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, Nara Rohit, Manchu Manoj's multi-starrer 'Bhairavam' got a good opening. The recently released Nagarjuna, Dhanush multi-starrer 'Kubera' and Manchu Vishnu's 'Kannappa' gave a good ending to the first half of 2025.

On the other hand, Charan's 'Game Changer', which came with a lot of expectations in the first half of this year, along with Nithiin's 'Robin Hood', Vishwak Sen's 'Laila', and Sidhu Jonnalagadda's 'Laila' failed to impress at the box office.
