Web series on Rajiv Gandhi assassination case

Sony Liv is riding high this year with super hit shows like ‘The Waking of Nation, Black, Voot and Grey, Love Kills, Kankhajura’. Now it is coming back with another interesting series. That is ‘The Hunt: The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case’. This series, created by renowned director Nagesh Kukunoor, will unveil the investigation into the assassination case of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Jointly produced by Applause Entertainment and Kukunoor Movies, this series will premiere globally on Sony Liv on July 4. The makers have recently released its trailer.

‘The Hunt’ series shows the events that took place after the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by D.R. Karthikeyan is tasked with finding those behind the assassination. The show narrates how the SIT found those behind the attack in just 90 days. It also reveals the spies, their stories and the huge price to pay for justice.

Applause Entertainment, Sony Liv have previously delivered blockbuster shows like ‘Scam 1992, Tanav, Scam 2003’. Now it looks like they are coming up with another hit. Nagesh Kukunoor is a director known for his prestigious films. This series is also likely to bring him another success. It is written by Rohit Banavalikar and Sriram Rajan. Amidst much anticipation and interest, the series ‘The Hunt: The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case’ will be streaming on Sony Liv from July 4.
