He has responded for the first time to the incident of the disappearance of the hard disk containing crucial VFX footage of the pan India film ‘Kannappa’ starring Manchu Vishnu. Responding to reporters’ questions at a promotional event held in Chennai, he explained the matter clearly.

According to Vishnu, the 70-minute VFX footage prepared for color grading work in Mumbai was sent to Hyderabad Prasad Labs through a courier. However, the hard drive did not reach its destination. It reached Mohan Babu’s house in Filmnagar, where a person named Raghu picked it up and gave it to a girl named Charita. He expressed suspicion that these people could be those working in the house of his brother Manchu Manoj. He clarified, ‘I don’t know whether they did it themselves or someone told them to do it.’

According to Vishnu, this matter came to his attention through a post on ‘X’ on May 18. He said that the post was in a way that raised doubts, 'What if the hard drive is in Manoj's hands?' He said that he initially did not want to file a complaint with the police, but changed his mind after his father Mohan Babu was upset.

He also said, 'The hard drive has a password. It is 99 percent safe, but there is a 1 percent chance of it being leaked. If it is leaked, please do not let anyone see the footage or share it. Because this is a problem for hundreds of people,' Vishnu requested. The film 'Kannappa' is set to release in theaters on June 27.
