Senior producer Kavuri Mahendra passes away

Senior film producer Kavuri Mahendra (79) passed away at a private hospital in Guntur last midnight. He produced more than 50 films under Geetha Arts Pictures and A.A.Arts banners in his film career that started in Chennai. He is credited with introducing Srihari as a hero under the A.A.Arts banner after the film industry shifted to Hyderabad. Kavuri Mahendra is also known for introducing famous director Gopichand Malineni to the direction department.

Kavuri Mahendra is the father-in-law of actor and producer Dr. Madala Ravi. The films he produced left a significant mark on the Telugu film industry. His funeral will be held at Mahaprasthanam in Guntur today at 12:30 pm. Kavuri Mahendra's death has filled the film industry with grief.
