Prithviraj Sukumaran's survival thriller Aadu Jeevitham has bagged a crop of awards for the year 2023. Based on the novel by Benjamin, 'Aadu Jeevitham' has bagged a crop of awards at the 2023 Kerala State Film Awards. It won awards in a total of nine categories, including Best Director and Best Actor (Male).

The jury awarded director Blessy the Best Director award for his aesthetic and technical excellence in portraying the life of an emigrant. Hero Prithviraj Sukumaran was selected as Best Actor for his difficult makeover for the role of Najeeb and for his natural body language in expressing the human struggle and helplessness to survive in the most difficult conditions.

Sunil K.S., who received the Best Cinematography Award for the film 'Aadujeevitham', was praised for his effective portrayal of the emotions in the story. Besley also received the Best Screenplay (Adaptation) Award. According to the jury, he has shown his skill in cinematically transforming a great literary work in Malayalam.

Along with Besley, Resul Pokutty and Sarath Mohan won the award for Best Sound Mixing. They were recognized for their ability to seamlessly blend sounds, words, and music from different places and times. Renjith Ambadi won the award for Best Makeup Artist. His makeup work that reflected the passage of time and the developments of the characters was the reason for his success.

K.R. Gokul, who played a key role in 'Aadujeevitham', received a special jury commendation for his natural portrayal of the desperate attempts to survive in the desert. The jury said that his performance was on par with that of the lead character.
