Mallu wrestling action comedy 'Chatha Pachcha'

The Malayalam action film ‘Chatha Paccha: The Ring of Rowdies’ is being made as a WWE style wrestling action comedy entertainer. The shooting of this film has recently started. While Arjun Ashokan is playing the lead role, Roshan Mathew, Marco fame Ishaan Shaukat, Vishak Nair, and Pooja Mohandas will be seen in key supporting roles. Directed by debutant director Advait Nair, this big budget movie is set in an underground WWE style wrestling club in Fort Kochi and revolves around the lives of the characters who are part of it.

With this film, the famous music director trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are making their entry into the Malayalam industry, and they are composing the songs. The background score is provided by Mujeeb Majeed of ‘Kishkindha Kandam’ fame. The technical team includes cinematographer Anand C Chandran, editor Praveen Prabhakar and action choreographer Kalai Kingson. The story is written by Advait Nair, while the screenplay and dialogues are written by Sanoop Taikoodam. Sanoop has previously written and directed ‘Sumesh and Ramesh’ and has also worked as a co-writer for the films ‘Chankz’ and ‘Vikruthi’.

As the makers say... ‘Chatha Paccha’ will also feature prominent actors from other Indian film industries. The film is being produced by Ritesh S Ramakrishnan and Shihan Shaukat under the banner of Reel World Entertainment. George Sebastian is working as the executive producer and Sunil Singh is the line producer under the Mammootty Company banner. The film is scheduled to release at the end of this year.
