'Mahavatar' at the box office

'Mahavatar Narasimha' is a devotional film that came out in the form of animation from the Kannada industry. The film has achieved huge success at the box office, exceeding expectations. This movie, which does not have star heroes, has created a sensation with a gross collection of Rs. 53 crores within a week, impressing the family audience with the strength of its content.

The film received a lot of response especially in the Telugu and Hindi versions. The film, which was released on July 25, earned only Rs. 1.75 crores on the first day. The collection has been increasing day by day with positive word of mouth. Theaters were housefull in some places. Crossing the Rs. 53 crore mark in just a week is truly commendable.

The film is based on the incarnation of Lord Narasimha Swamy, which is related to the story of devotee Prahlad. Produced by the famous production company Hombale Films, the film was directed by Ashwin Kumar and the background music was composed by Sam CS. Allu Aravind has released it in Telugu through Geetha Arts. The film, which has been released in five languages in 3D format, is receiving good appreciation for its animation quality and background music.

Hombale Films - Cleam Productions are preparing to make films based on the Vishnu Dashavatars with a twelve-year plan under the name Mahavatar Cinematic Universe (MCU). After the already released Narasimha, it has been announced that the films will be released in 2027 - Parasurama, 2029 - Raghunandan, 2031 - Dwarakadhish, 2033 - Gokulananda, 2035 - Kalki Part 1, 2037 - Kalki Part 2.
