'Mahabharata' will be made in parts: Aamir Khan

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has long expressed his dream of making a film based on the Indian epic Mahabharata. In a recent interview, he said that he is preparing to start the project this year. Speaking to the media, Aamir said that he will start work on Mahabharata this year. He said that he will produce the film through his production company. “I hope to work on it this year,” he said.

Aamir revealed that the film will be made in multiple parts like the Hollywood masterpiece ‘Lord of the Rings’. However, he said that it may take many years to write the story. Aamir said that he has not yet decided whether he will act in the film, and that suitable actors will be selected for the roles. Also.. “Mahabharata cannot be told in a single film, so it will be made in multiple parts. It may also require multiple directors,” Aamir said. He indicated that this project will be on a grand scale.

Aamir Khan is currently shooting for his new film ‘Sitare Zameen Par’. It is a sequel to the 2007 film ‘Taare Zameen Par’. The film is being directed by RS Prasanna and stars Genelia Deshmukh in the lead role. Produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, the film is set to release on June 20.
