Have they forgotten those heroes... those movies?

There is criticism that the Telangana government has not awarded any awards to the heroes and stories related to Telangana in the prestigious Gaddar Awards. As for the heroes, none of the films starring Sidhu Jonnalagadda and Nithin related to Telangana region have been able to make it to the Gaddar Awards.

The series that made Sidhu Jonnalagadda a star boy is ‘Tillu’. Sidhu Jonnalagadda made crores at the box office with the films ‘DJ Tillu, Tillu Square’. Of these, ‘Tillu Square’ has even entered the hundred crore club. Sidhu Jonnalagadda’s acting and songs in this film have given a boost to the youth. Fans expected that the ‘Tillu’ series, which has created such a cult following, will win awards.

Also, films like ‘A..A., Srinivasa Kalyanam, Bheeshma’ starring another Telangana hero Nithin have been released in these ten years. Among these, the films ‘A..A., Bheeshma’ impressed the audience immensely. Nithin also did not get a place in the Gaddar Awards.

On the other hand, the film ‘Dasara’ directed by Srikanth Odela, starring Nani as the hero, has already won awards at many platforms. This film is made entirely in the backdrop of Telangana. Such ‘Dasara’ also did not get a place in the Gaddar Awards.
