First single release postponed!

Tamil megastar Vijay is currently busy with films and politics. He founded his political party ‘Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam’ last year. He announced that ‘Jananayagan’ will be his last film before entering politics fully. While completing the shooting of this film, Vijay is preparing to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections.

On September 27, a terrible tragedy occurred at Vijay’s political meeting in Karur district. The event was held at Velusamipuram on the Karur-Erode highway. As Vijay’s convoy was delayed for almost seven hours, when he finally reached there, people rushed forward to see him. This led to a stampede.. In which 41 people died. More than 100 were injured. The incident led to severe criticism of Vijay and his party.

Due to this incident, the makers of 'Jana Nayagan' have decided to postpone the release of the first song of the film. The song was originally scheduled to release in the first week of October. The new date has not been announced yet. However, the film is still planned to release for Pongal 2026.
