Bollywood director coming up with a police biopic

When you hear Rohit Shetty's name in Bollywood, you think of high-octane action movies, heavy stories and a unique style of police dramas. Till now, Rohit Shetty, who is at the top of masala entertainment, is now exploring a new dimension. His next film is a biopic based on the life of Rakesh Maria, one of the most talented police officers in India.John Abraham will play the lead role in this movie.

So far Shetty's police stories have revolved around fictional characters. However, this time he will unveil the life journey of a real life police officer on screen. Maria, who worked as Mumbai Police Commissioner.. in solving the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case,In the investigation of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.. and also played a key role in bringing to light the Sheena Bora murder case.

The film is based on Maria's autobiography "Let Me Say It Now". With this movie.. Rohit Shetty is going to give the audience a genuine story unlike the usual mass entertainment.
