'Balagam' actor passes away

Popular stage actor and actor GV Babu, who played the role of Anjanna in the film ‘Balagam’, has passed away. He was suffering from kidney disease for some time and breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Warangal.

He was undergoing dialysis treatment due to damage to both kidneys and had a throat infection that left him unable to speak. The family faced financial difficulties in the last days. Director Venu and actor Priyadarshi provided him with some financial assistance.

‘Balagam’ director Venu expressed his deep shock over GV Babu’s death. ‘His entire life was dedicated to theatre. I feel fortunate to have introduced him to the film industry in the last days with the film ‘Balagam’,’ Venu said emotionally.
