'Baahubali' re-release.. a new experiment!

Update: 2025-06-06 13:20 GMT

Baahubali is the film that has taken Telugu cinema to a level where it can be proud. The two parts of this epic franchise, 'The Beginning' (2015) and 'The Conclusion' (2017), which came from the Rajamouli-Prabhas combination, left an indelible impression on the minds of the audience. These films have shown a new route for Indian cinema and created new records in terms of collection.

Now, the same Baahubali is going to return to the silver screen again. So far, we have seen many hit films being re-released. However, all of them are single-part films. But in the case of Baahubali, the makers are planning to set a milestone. The two parts of 5.5 hours long are being shortened to three and a half hours and a new edited version is being made so that only interesting episodes are included. This means that this is not a re-release.. It is a re-edited version.

Rajamouli's team is taking care not to miss any scenes in this special edition, and to ensure that the narration is clear from the climax to the flashback. In a way, this can be said to be an attempt to introduce the story of Baahubali to a new generation in a shorter format.

The Baahubali franchise is still the highest-grossing Indian movie series. The worldwide collections of these films are around Rs. 2,500 crores. Now, it remains to be seen what kind of collections Baahubali, which is about to enter the theaters again, will achieve with the new version.
