Alia Bhatt to replace Deepika Padukone?

Deepika Padukone is no longer acting in 'Kalki 2', the sequel to the blockbuster film 'Kalki 2898 AD'. In the first part, she played a key role of a pregnant woman named Sumati. However, production house Vyjayanthi Movies has removed her from the project, citing unprofessional demands from her.

According to the latest news in Bollywood, Alia Bhatt is the main contender for the lead role in 'Kalki 2', replacing Deepika. Earlier, director Nag Ashwin was in talks with Alia Bhatt for another project, but now it seems that he has decided to take her for the sequel. An official announcement on this is awaited.

'Kalki 2898 AD' is a mythological science fiction drama set in the future. The story begins with the Kurukshetra War in the Mahabharata, where Lord Krishna entrusts Ashwathama with the responsibility of saving Kalki, the last incarnation of Vishnu. Prabhas is playing the main lead in the film. The shooting of 'Kalki 2' is likely to begin in 2026.
