Acting in 'Coolie' was my biggest mistake: Aamir Khan

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan admitted a month after the film's release that acting in Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' was a big mistake. The film did not perform as expected at the box office. Even after its recent release on OTT, it was criticized. Especially, many questioned why Aamir Khan accepted such a small role.

Reflecting on this decision, Aamir Khan said, 'I accepted this role only because I wanted to act with Rajinikanth. I thought my guest role would bring more attraction to the film.. But, it did not work out properly. I was not a part of the production of this film...' he clarified.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Kannada superstar Upendra, and Aamir Khan faced a lot of trolling for showing big actors like Aamir Khan in small roles. Moreover, Nagarjuna Akkineni's villain role also received mixed reactions from critics and audiences. Aamir Khan, who used to be very careful in choosing his films, has recently been surprising by starring in films that are failing at the box office.
