Accident during the shooting of ‘Mandadi’

Tamil actor Suri and Telugu actor Suhas are acting together in a bilingual film ‘Mandadi’. For this film, which is set in the backdrop of the sea, some key scenes are being shot at the Thondi beach in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. During this incident, the boat in which the technicians were travelling capsized.

Two people drowned in the incident, but the immediate action of the unit members saved their lives. However, a huge financial loss occurred as cameras and equipment worth one crore rupees sank in the water. The film is being produced by National Award winner Vetrimaaran and directed by Mathimaran Pugalendhi. G.V. Prakash Kumar is composing the music for this film.
