A rare honor for Deepika
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been honoured with a rare international honour. She has been inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2026. Deepika has become the first Indian actress to receive this honour in the Motion Pictures category. In the official announcement released by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Deepika's name is included along with celebrities like Demi Moore, Emily Blunt and Rachel McAdams.
Deepika, who entered the film industry in 2006, made her Hollywood debut in 2017 with the film 'Return of Xander Cage'. Since then, she has been impressing not only in Bollywood but also in Hollywood with her acting. In 2018, she was included in the list of the 100 most influential people in the world released by Time magazine, and in 2022, she participated in the inauguration of the FIFA World Cup. She introduced the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ at the Academy Awards in 2023 and brought respect to Telugu cinema worldwide.
Currently, Deepika is playing the female lead in a multilingual film to be made in the combination of Allu Arjun and Atlee. Also.. Deepika will be seen as the female lead in the sequel to ‘Kalki 2898 A.D’ directed by Nag Ashwin with Prabhas as the hero.
